Wally Jadan is the President & CEO of MEA TV & Radio. Since 1986, MEA TV has been providing a unique niche in television broadcasting within the Arab American Community. Jadan launched MEA TV in response to the need for educational, economic, and social advancement within the Arab community. MEA TV & Radio’s daily programming is aired to over nine million Arab Americans in the United States. Jadan expanded MEA TV’s distribution to make it the only Arabic U.S based media covering twenty three states on cable (Comcast, Cox, and Verizon) and on satellite covering the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
In 1974, Wally Jadan came with his parents from Baghdad, Iraq to the United States.
In 1978 Mr. Jadan received an Associate Degree from Oakland Community College, and attended Oakland University where he completed his Bachelor degree in Political Sciences.
In 1991 Jadan received his property casualty license and Real Estate Brokers license to then establish his own real-estate company “Great Lakes Realty” and “Great Lakes Insurance Company”. Wally has served as a role model and has helped other community members establish their own business.
Mr. Jadan’s community involvement and devotion spans for more than 25 years. He served on many boards of various Arab American organizations and corporations.
He received many awards for the key influential role he played throughout the years. He received the “Business man of the year” award from the Arab American Chamber of Commerce, and “Excellence in Media Award” from the Arab American and Chaldean council.
Through MEA TV, Wally Jadan helped create local and national programming to highlight the success stories of Arab Americans, and engage them with the community at large. MEA’s programs focus on Political issues affecting Arab Americans, and political developments related to the Arab countries and populations including the U.S Foreign policy and approach towards the Middle East.
Under Jadan’s Leadership, MEA TV is building better understanding and positive perspectives on Arab Culture while highlighting achievements of the Arabs American community and Arabs around the world.
MEA TV hires Arab American talent, nationally and internationally to produce political, social, cultural, and economic programs in English and Arabic, and successfully attracts and engages Arab American youth.
Jadan’s vision in building political, cultural, social, and educational bridges is not limited to the United States; MEA TV will be the first Arab American media to launch from the United States to the Middle East, North Africa, and Europe. This international coverage will reach and connect millions of Arabs around the world. Jadan’s objective is to highlight the success of the Arab American Community and organizations, while creating social, cultural, and educational awareness among communities around the world. He believes this will assist in constructing better relationships between the United States people and Government, and the rest of the nations embracing Arab populations.
Wally Jadan has balanced his very busy professional life, with the support & dedication of his family who has encouraged him to help mentor and provide leadership for the next generation of Arab Americans. He has been married to his wife Samar since 1985 and has a daughter, Shanel, and a son, Raymiz.
